When the Musical Instrument Fits Your Child

As parents, many of us want our kids to desire some of the positive experiences we’ve either had ourselves or know will be helpful to them as they develop. The hoped-for interest in learning to play a musical instrument frequently fits that category. Unfortunately, not all children have such an interest or knack. Following are a few important considerations before handing your child his/her first guitar (or whatever) and watching the talent soar.
