Peart collaborated with Sonic Reality and producer/engineer Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains) to bring the authentic sound of his “Snakes and Arrows” Custom DW® Drum Kit into the digital domain. With advanced features such as deep-level dynamics, humanized random alternating hits, discrete multiple mic mixing, and more, this deluxe sampled drum kit is an ultra-realistic recreation of Neil’s actual acoustic set as used live on tour and in the studio.

With Neil Peart Drums Vol. 1: The Kit e-drummers, keyboardists, and composers can play virtual rock drum samples with the signature sound of this iconic drummer and have a world-class, hard-hitting drum kit suitable for many styles of musicfrom progressive rock to heavy metal. Producer Nick Raskulinecz engineered the sample sessions with over 20 channels of Neve mic preamps, deluxe vintage tube mics, and multiple room positions for one of the most elaborate drum samples ever. With the assistance of Don Lombardi and DrumChannel.com, every detail of “The Kit” was captured both in high-resolution audio and documented on video with a thorough explanation by Dave Kerzner of Sonic Reality on how the drums were sampled.

Taye’s GoKit drums have a sound that is direct and articulate, fat and sustaining. The 5-piece GoKit Fusion drum set includes an 18″ x 7-1/2″ bass drum, a 4″ x 13″ snare, three toms with scaled-down dimensions (12″ x 6″, 10″ x 5-1/2″, and 8″ x 5″) that don’t sacrifice tone, and a complete hardware pack. Cymbals not included.

There are no compromises in this design, beginning with select basswood-birch shells. Consequently, while the bass drum is painlessly portable, it boasts broad tone with unforgettable punch. The snare yields a strong rim shot, and those ghost notes sizzle. The GoKit toms are shallow in depth, fast in response, and musical in character.

Funky looking, neo-modern, and edgy, GoKit drums will handle any music you throw at them, from drum ‘n’ bass to fusion to bop to Latin. GoKit drums use the same shell construction as TourPro but are designed to be ultra-compact and portable. The entire GoKit drum set fits into three included bags to carry in one trip and easily stow in small automobiles.

An important feature on the GoKit bass drum is the SlideTrack that allows two tom toms to be positioned properly over the 7-1/2″ deep bass drum rather than having the toms too close to the drummer. This also avoids racking toms off the stands or including only one rack tom so it can be pushed to the side.
