Jünger Audio Appoints New Distributors In The US And Canada

As part of a major restructuring of its distributor network, dynamic processing specialist Jünger Audio has appointed two new distributors – Group One and HHB Canada – to handle its product range in the United States and Canada respectively.

With broadcasters increasingly turning their attention to the issue of audio loudness and complying with the new CALM legislation, the appointments are timely as they will allow customers in the United States and Canada to easily and confidently access Jünger Audio’s groundbreaking LEVEL MAGIC™ Loudness control solutions. These incorporate ATSC, ITU and EBU R128 recommendations on Loudness and have already been adopted by broadcasters such as Discovery Channel, MediaCorp, Canal +, Astro and RTL.

TC ELECTRONIC ANNOUNCES UPDATES TO THE TC TOUCHMONITOR AT THE 2011 NAB SHOW

Upgraded software for TM7, TM9 software enables dual radar display

tm9_front.jpgLAS VEGAS, APRIL 14, 2011 – TC Electronic (Booth SU10217), a global leader in digital signal processing and loudness control technologies for the professional audio, broadcast and post production markets, is pleased to announce the new software version 1.11 for its TC TouchMonitor TM7 and TM9 at the 2011 NAB Show in Las Vegas. The new software adds dual radar display to the LM6 loudness radar meter algorithm for TC’s line of TouchMonitors. Now loudness can look twice as good!

With the optional LM6 algorithm installed, users can load two independent radar meters simultaneously on their TC TouchMonitor TM7 or TM9. This opens up a number of highly valuable configurations. RTW UNVEILS NEW TOUCHMONITOR FIRMWARE AT THE 2011 NAB SHOW

Version 1.14 Comes With Major Function Enhancements and Optimized Performance

In addition to various performance and stability optimizations, the update also includes new function enhancements and improved ergonomics. The firmware is available for download to all TouchMonitor users at www.rtw.de.

After activating the radar license, the user can view two radar-display instances on the screen at the same time. Similarly, software-based Surround Sound Analyzer, offered as an option, supports parallel operation of multiple instances as well. Studiofoam Wedges Installed in Dedicated On-Set ADR Facility

LAS VEGAS, APRIL 13, 2011 – Auralex® Acoustics, Inc. (NAB Booth SL8810), the industry leader in innovative sound control solutions, arrives on the set of CBS’s hit series, Hawaii Five-O, as part of Audio Resource Honolulu’s (ARH) on-set ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement, also known as looping or dubbing) team.

As the dedicated ADR facility for the show, ARH is responsible for all the re-recording of the original dialogue for the purpose of obtaining a cleaner, more intelligible dialogue track. This can be due to ambient noise or to change the original lines recorded in order to clarify context, or to improve the actor’s diction and timing. ARH was asked to create a room on-set to capture the needed ADR when the actors were on break from shooting. A space was identified, but (more…)
