Axon’s Synapse addresses audio processing needs

Axon SynView multiviewer2011 represents the 15th consecutive year that the Netherlands-based AV conversion, processing and compliance recording specialist, Axon Digital Design, will have taken part in NAB.

Amongst the key new Synapse products in Las Vegas will be the GRB100 – a 3Gb/s HD and SD 48×16 channel shuffler – re-embedder. With this new unit, the source audio channels used for embedding into the output SDI can be derived from two individual 3Gb/s HD or SD inputs and from the 32 channels that are available in the quad speed multiplexing audio ADD-ON bus.

A neat feature of this card sees the output embedding 16 channels and the source for this audio can be derived from both SDI input 1 (which normally also carries the video) or from SDI input 2. Input two can be connected to a second SDI source that (more…)

AXON grows global sales revenues by 25%, targets North American market for further growth

Netherlands-based AV conversion, processing and compliance recording specialist Axon Digital Design (Booth N3024) arrives at NAB on the back of the announcement of major growth in its global sales revenue. In 2010, Axon registered over 25 per cent growth in its worldwide sales, growth that positions Axon as the leading supplier of signal processing equipment (digital glue) in HD & 3D OB vehicles (source: www.live-production.tv ).

Whilst historically the company has focussed primarily on the European market, Axon has indicated its intention to develop its presence in the key North American markets. Already, Axon has established sales and technical support facilities in the US market and its intention is to grow its market presence in the US this year.

The new Alpha-Link Live-R unit adds a set of redundant MADI optical fiber connections to the existing Alpha-Link Live low cost console I/O unit.
