Myers ProTrack Enables Mobile Metadata For WHUT-TV

Las Vegas, NV (April 4, 2011) – Myers Information Systems – a leading developer of broadcast traffic, business, and content management software – today revealed the company’s role in helping WHUT, the Howard University-owned public broadcaster, implement mobile DTV to serve its Washington, DC metro area audience, the nation’s ninth largest media market. Employing a Programming Metadata Communication Protocol (PMCP) interface, Myers’ ProTrack TV, in-use at the station since 1996, delivers schedule metadata to a server powered by segment-leader Roundbox that generates the actual mobile DTV content stream.

NewTek Elevates Pat Grogan to Senior Vice President of Operations

Previously, Grogan was the vice president of Operations at NewTek. In his new role, Grogan will focus on corporate facilities and manufacturing processes to meet ever-increasing product demands.

BHV Broadcast Callisto Micro Switcher Wins Over Onstage Video

Owslebury, UK (5 April 2011) – After a comprehensive search and evaluation process, Onstage Video – a London-based live event production company – selected BHV Broadcast’s Callisto Micro sub-miniature broadcast SDI switcher for its RealLive multi-camera production system. P. Julian Hiorns, BHV Broadcast’s managing director, announced the sale from headquarters in Owslebury, UK.

“I shopped for a suitable switcher for six months and very nearly purchased a competitor’s four channel unit with an HD option – until I sampled the BHV Callisto Micro at IBC 2010,” said Nigel Wilson, director of Onstage Video. “The compact Callisto won me over.
