The Toca Synergy Bongo set featuring 2 ply select wood shells has a very expressive sound and feel. The set has an Afro-Cuban design and sound, with strong bass tones with black powder coated hoops and lugs and natural rawhide heads. The EasyPlay hoops protect your hands, and enhance the sound of the drum. They stand up to high tuning ranges, due to their 4-bolt tension plates that spread the tension over the shell. This set is great for players of all ages and styles. Toca is committed to being green and environmentally-friendly. The wood we use is harvested from a plantation in Indonesia, where our drums are then lathed and handcrafted by local musicians. This carefully managed resource is much easier on the environment than wood taken from primary forests.
