Lawo mc²90 replaces Lawo MC80 at ZDF’s Düsseldorf branch

zdf_hi.jpgRastatt, Germany – April 8, 2011… German national broadcaster ZDF has chosen an mc²90, Lawo’s flagship mixing console, to replace a Lawo MC80 that has been in use since 1995 in the regional Düsseldorf studio’s audio control room. This control room will not only be used for post-production and VTR editing, but also for live broadcast of the TV infotainment show ‘Volle Kanne – Service täglich’ (Full Measure – Daily Service).

The MC80 comes from the first generation of Lawo digital mixing consoles; the one installed in Düsseldorf was the very first that Lawo built. By autumn 2010, it had served reliably for over 15 years. (more…)

Sennheiser has been instrumental in the sensational success achieved by British criminal investigative authorities in the achievements against brand piracy. Numerous illegally distributed devices have been seized from the owners of an online platform in England.

The raid action was carried out by the British consumer protection and investigation authority, Trading Standards Services (TSS), Portsmouth, in February 2011. However, in order to safeguard the investigation, it has only recently been made public. During a search of the premises used by one of England’s largest online platforms, investigators from the TSS seized hundreds of forged branded equipment purporting to have been made by Sennheiser and Monster Cable – the largest number of counterfeits of this kind ever (more…)

High Resolution Systems Partners with Stimulated, Inc. to Launch the X20P Display Control Solution

Robb WagnerHigh Resolution Systems LLC has formed a partnership with Stimulated, Inc. to introduce the X20P display control solution built around the Christie Vista Spyder X20 and High Resolution’s UDC (Universal Device Controller) software and hardware. X20P is a high efficiency, small footprint solution for display control at broadcast productions.

Stimulated introduced its Display Pipeline Consulting service to provide high efficiency workflow solutions and X20P is a prime example of what the company plans to offer.

“Broadcast productions all use LED and projection displays onstage but nobody has come forward with an efficient display control solution. Until now the only options have been expensive and cumbersome external control set ups or traditional switching and routing options that fall short,” says Wagner, a producer and director with Stimulated, Inc.
