Myers ProTrack Enables Mobile Metadata For WHUT-TV

Las Vegas, NV (April 4, 2011) – Myers Information Systems – a leading developer of broadcast traffic, business, and content management software – today revealed the company’s role in helping WHUT, the Howard University-owned public broadcaster, implement mobile DTV to serve its Washington, DC metro area audience, the nation’s ninth largest media market. Employing a Programming Metadata Communication Protocol (PMCP) interface, Myers’ ProTrack TV, in-use at the station since 1996, delivers schedule metadata to a server powered by segment-leader Roundbox that generates the actual mobile DTV content stream.

NewTek Elevates Pat Grogan to Senior Vice President of Operations

Previously, Grogan was the vice president of Operations at NewTek. In his new role, Grogan will focus on corporate facilities and manufacturing processes to meet ever-increasing product demands.

“Pat has overseen the day-to-day operations of this company for almost 15 years,” said NewTek CFO, Steve Doubleday. “He has been a key member of management since the company’s relocation to San Antonio in 1997, when he came aboard as director of education and training. BHV Broadcast Callisto Micro Switcher Wins Over Onstage Video

Owslebury, UK (5 April 2011) – After a comprehensive search and evaluation process, Onstage Video – a London-based live event production company – selected BHV Broadcast’s Callisto Micro sub-miniature broadcast SDI switcher for its RealLive multi-camera production system. P. Julian Hiorns, BHV Broadcast’s managing director, announced the sale from headquarters in Owslebury, UK.

All India Radio Awards Jampro Contract For FM Station Combiners And Patching Systems

New Delhi, India (March 29, 2011) — Jampro Antennas, Inc. of Sacramento, California announced here today that it has been awarded a contract to supply All India Radio (AIR) with over one dozen Jampro model RCCC Constant Impedance FM Bandpass Combiners and patching systems. The combiners will be installed at radio stations throughout the country.

Jampro President Alex M. Perchevitch commented on the transaction by phone: “We have been a long time partner with All India Radio (AIR) on numerous antenna projects. Their engineering division was looking for combiners with a compact design to fit in small transmitter rooms and be able provide superior performance and low loss in varying temperatures and environments.
